Great news. I'm using ETW events and I was looking at some trusted code to use for reading ETW. Do you recommend this library over other custom implementations?

I had a look at AppDomain.cpp. What I can't understand is what motivates anybody to create source files of close to 10000 lines?

Interesting write-up. I wasn't even aware of that limitation.

Sadly, based on past experience, this will probably get tossed into the "won't fix due to compatibility" bucket.

They have or should have worked on that Add References dialog.. You can find that here blogs.msdn.com/.../visual-studio-10-your-performance-feedback-plus-beta-1.aspx

Might be for the next release though..

While a big improvement, can't they just spin up a background thread that loads the toolbox? This seams to me default UI stuff. That it takes a while to use it isn't that of a problem, waiting before you can do anything is just annoying.

I having trouble getting this to work in Windows 7. Has this been changed? Anybody managed to get the associations dialog displayed in Windows 7?

I just tried this on Windows 7 RTM and it seems to be working - what troubles are you having?

OK I found correct GUIDs in ShObjIdl.h file on my PC.

But now I've got this error:

System.AccessViolationException was unhandled

Message="Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

Again, this jumping through hoops is ridiculous,

I bet that Apple treats its developers much better ;-)
